[Be wary of the arcanine roaming nearby. Her movements are stiff, and she's rumbling a deep, abrasive growl. She's roaming the little town, looking crossly at the buildings, and taking in the scent.]
Where are the humans?
[Because buildings means humans.]

Or maybe he does and is just hiding it. "There aren't any," he says dryly. "Just more animal things. New here?"

"Well. Maybe you'll get less of these guys calling you crazy then," he decides with crossed arms. "A few of us here were minding our own business as humans before we woke up looking like this. I guess a fire-thing isn't too bad for you."
Ryuzaki, stop talking please.

"Anyway, if you're so against the tents, you might wanna find a cave before it rains..."

I need no pity from a human. The rain won't come, today. Can't you smell that, with your new animal nose?

Gulp. Somehow, he's getting enough courage to shout back even though she really could just swallow him. "If you haven't noticed, I have a beak- and it isn't just rain..! If you're anything like the other ones I saw, you're what they're calling 'fire type'..! Water hits you, it's gonna sting something fierce..!"
It'll also 'sting something fierce' if it hits him actually, but he'll hopefully have solved that issue by then. (There's always the cafe he supposes.)
