In Any Other World Prologue

Rating: PG for now
Summary: AU. What if monsters didn't exist? What if there were only human monsters? This is a story about two sons who take two different paths to rise up from tragedy. This is a story of losing yourself and finding each other. This is the story of the Winchester boys and the events in their lives that shaped them.
Disclaimer: I don't own the Winchester, just an unhealthy obsession...
A/N: My crap story about why this didn't get posted sooner- so I started writing this in May and had a good bit done along with a swank banner...then my computer crashed and I had to wipe the hard-drive therefore loosing all my work. It sucked balls. So I was pissed and refused to start this story again even though the story has been driving me nuts for months now. Enter writing inspiration, yay! (Writing inspiration is also known as margaritas....ye be warned.) So I started doing my research again, with some fabulous hydration and finally started rewriting this week- however I can only write a little in the evenings and when the 5 month old baby I am watching for 9 hours a day is asleep- which is not a lot. So this is probably going to be slow going, I am posting the prologue and first chapter tonight and will start working on chapter 2 tomorrow and hopefully I will be posting once a week. I have the story planned out so that should be in my favor. Well- onto the story since no one probably read this shit author's note anyway!

“In any other world
You could tell the difference
And let it all unfurl
Into broken remnants

Smile like you mean it
And let yourself let go

Cos it's all in the hands of a bitter, bitter man
Say goodbye to the world you thought you lived in
Take a bow, play the part of a lonely lonely heart
Say goodbye to the world you thought you lived in
To the world you thought you lived in”

“…More information has come to light in the blaze that occurred in a Lawrence suburb on the night of November second. Police have released a statement saying that they believe that the arson was one in a long line of murders and house fires occurring in the Midwest. Police and FBI agents will not release the name of the suspects in the murders, but they are working closely together to bring this case to a close. Here at channel six we will be following the story as it unfolds. I’m Kasey Fletcher and goodnight….”

“And now for the conclusion to a story we first brought you in November. Tanner confessed to the murders after being caught in a ninth attempted murder by the victim’s husband. The victim, who did not want her name released, is currently in stable condition...”
