Dang. Don't you hate it when you had typed a really long document then the PC hanged and you realized you didn't save your work? Grrrrr....
So I had to retype this 0_0
It was Wednesday when I e-mailed YesAsia to reship my order. To make sure that I do get it this time, I asked them to use Express Shipping. But they said they'd charge me for that for a discounted price of US$7, the original being US$10 or US$11. I appreciate that they gave me a discount and for taking responsibility the rest of it.
Then on Thursday, returning from a long meeting, I found a familiar sight--there was a post-office notice on my keyboard. I thought, am I expecting something? Then I remembered my YesAsia order. *talk about delayed reaction* I hurriedly grabbed my stuff and the notice and *almost* ran to the post office cause in thirty minutes it would close for lunchbreak.
This time, everything went smoothly. There were only 3 of us at the Customs window. I don't know if the guys there remember me, but the guy collecting the payment said to me, was this the one you were waiting for last time? I answered yes, and grumbled that this was overdue. He pointed out that the package was on ordinary shipping, no wonder it took long. But I wasn't expecting it to be *that* long cause the shipping schedule on YesAsia's site says 6 to 12 days only 0_0
Well I'm glad that I finally have my CDs, finally holding them in my hands. FtC's POP and beautiful world albums, and a free mini-toy cat, reminds me of the mother feline in Aristocats. It was so tiny and pretty ^^ If only it had a hook or something, I'd carry it with me ^^
Okay, it's storytelling time ^^;
POP
What I was anticipating in this album is to see the guys with the rabbit headcostume. Heehee. POP is their fourth major album, their second in Sol Blade/Stoic Stone. This album has 4 songs released as singles: JET hyp!, hal(ハル), ゆらぎ, and LIFE. I loved LIFE ever since. I like ゆらぎ, too cause it gives me a refreshing feeling. No wait, I might be talking about the PV. Maria C. has a Spanish thing going on. I'm not so sure but it has this sound that I associate with the genre. 体温をこえて... I love. It definitely has an air of pop. It's not entirely rock but it's not entirely pop either. It's just... so good I feel like dancing to the beat. This one automatically goes to my playlist. P。O。P is weird. It's rap and disco and a remix of everything. The only lyrics in this one are the lines that the guys rap. I like LOOP. Then 人生ゲーム is probably the rock-est song in the album. すべての友のためにきっと明日は来るから。 is awesome. It's a simple acoustic--Tsutomu singing and most likely Shun playing the guitar. Tsutomu is wonderful. With just a guitar accompanying your voice, you can clearly hear the awesomeness of Tsutomu's talent. I thought I wasn't going to like this cause I thought everything will sound pop, as the album title seems to project. But looks like I enjoyed this cd, too.
beautiful world
I was wondering why I can't see a single-released song in the tracklist. beautiful world has 9 songs, all written and composed by Tsutomu, except the instrumental tracks. I think, this was a special release... for the holidays. Nothing indicated like that anywhere on the cd but just by looking at the cover and the lyrics booklet, and by listening to the songs, I get this Christmas-y feeling, which I honestly don't like... I'm not exactly a happy person during Christmas day, and this CD just makes the feeling gloomier. Hey, this is just me, I'm not really a bright sunny person. Anyway, you won't find your FtC rock songs here. The songs are nice and easy, but no way cheesy. Okay, maybe a bit cheesy. I think they really fit to be listened to in the holidays. And I guess Tsutomu can find himself a solo career with his lovely voice XD Okay. source is an instrumental composed by Shun, and on the cd are two versions: piano and guitar. 真冬の花 has violins, has a dramatic chorus, and I like the way Tsutomu sings in those parts, so this is my fave on the album. ハッピーピープル is happy and nice and the guys sing "happy new year." *sigh* As much as I love this album, my emotions get stirred up, leaving me sentimental, lonely, and yearning for... you know. I always think twice if I'm going to pop this inside the cdplayer and be prepared to be bothered again. But don't get me wrong. I love this album.
Edit *start* Thanks for reminding me,
ryuichibun!
So! As soon as I got back to the office, I e-mailed YesAsia to cancel the re-shipment and refund my $7. I doubt a mere $7 will multiply my funds, but it would still help XD I was tempted to not tell them that the package finally arrived, actually. So if I get the second order, I would have two copies! One to keep and one to abuse! But the good girl in me was honest. Mwehehehe~
*end*
private_enemy, I wish I can likewise share these cds with you, but to be quick, maybe I can ask someone to upload the songs for me. Would you like that? I still have to learn how to send a package internationally, sending a letter is easy. I'm worrying with the guys in the post office, if they will allow me to send burned cds.
I'm listening to ハッピーピープル from beautiful world right now. *sigh*
Loving FtC and Tsutomu more and more~
