i was looking in the attic for a book, one of the anne rice vampire novels...:-P
and i found something else...
something better.
my first ever book on mythology.
story time!
my grandmother got me into it in like...2nd grade? i found a book in her library, and she said "well, eric, go right ahead and read it. ask me if you have any problems saying any of the names"...i remember aphrodite gave me the most trouble. lol
and i read it...it took me days, weeks, to get through it all and i skimmed it over and over again...and i finally started to pick up on the meanings of the stories and tales...

i packed it up when i moved in 8th grade...and haven't been able to find it since...and now?
heh, it's mine again...
and it's....it makes me so happy.
it's a part of my childhood, a part of my grandmother...it's what made me what i am today...
