one-upping the joneses
some background: the counseling department at camden hills has had a nice festive window display for a couple of weeks now, with lights in the window and holiday-themed stickers on the glass. this had engendered in me a feeling of inadequacy and and itching to make my own IT holiday festivities.
i had an extra set of icicle lights that wouldn't fit in the windows at 501 main street, so i brought them into school. i printed up a banner of ascii art snowflakes (i found out that continuous-feed paper works just fine in laser printers that have a straight paper path). finally, nick and i decided that to be truly over the top we needed to project a festive image (literally). having too many projectors for our own good, we appropriated one and found some screensavers to fit the mood.
