i *really* want to make some music...
it's a usb, 49-key synthesizer/audio/midi interface with semi-weighted keys, aftertouch, and no compromises, compared to the m-audio ozonic (which costs the same but sucks more).
hmm... lists for $799, normally $659, demo unit special $549 with free shipping...
this + my powerbook = a portable, complete music studio.

p.s. if you think that's expensive, some day i'd love some kit from the fine folks at doepfer in germany. and those don't even have audio or synth features, they're just spooge-worthy midi keyboards!
