accidental gardening
Out in front of my house there grows a flowering thistle that's about as tall as I am (no shorty jokes now). It was overtaking the lone rose that was growing there, and I was going to kill it to save the rose, but what the hell... the rose has survived worse (last winter), I think this is a good test of its strength.
Also, there appears to be quite an arboretum springing up in the rain gutter. There's blades of grass here and there, some weeds, and even a little tree growing. It makes me happy, that little tree.
