Morning in Fascist America
Some of what we have to look forward to in the next four years:
- A new draft
- Economic stagnation
- Amateur abortions
- Severely eroded civil liberties
- Lost ground in the War on Terror
- Continued transfer of the tax burden from billionaires to the rest of us
- Record deficits
- War with Iran
- Dirtier air and water
- An end to overtime pay and workplace protections
- Civil war in Iraq
We'll get what we asked for. Bush has declared "mission accomplished," despite the uncounted provisional ballots in Ohio exceeding his current lead. We can only hope this mirrors his premature declaration of victory in Iraq, but it doesn't look too hopeful.
