The Maryland That Likes To Say Yes
Ah ... the lease is signed. I move into my Rockville townhouse next week. Yes, Rockville - for those in the know, that is a pretty sweet area to be in because it is close to everything, including DC, where I hope to be working (currently still unemployed, sort of). I'm pretty gosh darn excited to furnish and decorate my living space. Right now, the IKEA catalog is my current tome of choice. Honestly, this is the cutest townhouse EVER! GAH!
In order to prepare for the move, I drove to New Hampshire yesterday to collect the last of my wares. It was a LONG drive but I made it through with only mild whiplash (why do all 495's suck?!). I visited NH a few weeks ago for an early Thanksgiving and it was a fun visit. However, this visit doesn't feel the same. I have a bunch of things to do while here and they are fun things ... but I am starting to feel a connection to a new place, a new home. I have been away for about a month, so this is a good sign.
I'm just happy to report that things are falling into place. This move hasn't been easy, but it has been an adventure. Now that I have the place, all I need is the wonderful job and then I can go from there! Yea, verily.
