It's 10am outside the St. Pete Times Forum. Carlyn and I are queuing up the U2 show tonight. In Boston, they gave you a wristband with a number so you could come back at 5pm and not waste your entire day in line. There are no wristbands to be had, but to be fair, the U2 fans decided to start their own numbering system so no one can cut the line. So if we wanted to take off for a bit, we technically have a place in line. However, we plan on being here all day. When we arrived at 7am, there were 25 people already ahead of us who camped out across the street. It's crazy. Most people are prepared though and have air mattresses, chairs and umbrellas. I have a laptop and sunscreen. Yeah.
It's one giant party. We've got the tunes, wifi - however, we have no food and there are no restaurants nearby except for Starbucks. The sun is about ready to peak over the Forum. The weather is beautiful and will be about 83 degrees today. Our hotel is next door so we have the luxury of changing before the show and using our own private facility. The line is already up to #137 (I am #37) so we will have full run of the floor to pick our spot at the bottom of the circle IF we don't get flagged for the Shelter. Please, please.
