Tuesday
Tuesday, let me say now that it does not feel like Tuesday today. Today has gone rather quietly for me, but for my coworkers everything that could happen has happened, from doors sticking, and doors locking and lights going out, to the grand finale a TV falling off the wall in one of the training rooms. The TV issue actually got me involved to a small amount. Last week my coworker who I act as back up for went through the different facility items on our list of things that have been reported for fixing. And one of them was the TV. Not that it needed to be fixed, but rather that the Education department wanted to have it removed from the room and moved somewhere else. So my coworker went to look at the TV and told the person from education that she really didn’t think it was going to be moved. Just last week it was announced that our region would be moving next year and so with the impending move using money to move a TV that didn’t need to be moved was not an urgent thing that needed to be done. The education employee then asked her if someone from the team could just uninstall it and take it down from the wall. She told him that uninstalling it ourselves would be dangerous as it could fall and hurt someone. It would be best if it was uninstalled by a professional vendor.
So this morning the TV falls from the wall, ripping out all six anchors that had been used to originally install it. And when the TV falls it doesn’t fall on the floor and break, no, it is found sitting on a chair, absolutely ok. Sounds like a suspicious coincidence to me.
Crazy morning, after which I go to lunch which I had to buy today because I could not think of what to bring with me this morning. And because it is Tuesday that means chicken fingers! One of my favorite lunch options! One which I figured wouldn’t be served today since I forgot it was Tuesday.
Thursday is only two days away. Thursday when I will be running the Business Recovery Plan Exercise, something I am not looking forward to. I am anxious for it to be over, but not really looking forward to it. I have been working all day today on getting binders ready for it. There are a few things I will finish up tomorrow, but for right now I am done with it for today. One more hour till I go home, and I am worn out.
