Headaches

I have been having a lot of headaches lately. More than usual. Then again I have frequent headaches anyway. The ones lately though have been more painful than normal. Usually when I get a headache it is slight and I can force it to the back of my head and ignore it. However lately my headaches have become much more painful, not to the point of migraine but to the point where I will activly take pain medication (ibuprophren, Asprin, etc.) to combat it. This is new for me because usually I can ignore the headache and usually it doesn't hurt enough for me to want to take pain meds for it. I don't like putting drugs into my body and usually avoid it if possible, however when something such as pain shows up there are times when I will make an exception and take some pain drugs. Today is one of those days. I am currently sitting here able to thing my thoughts through in a calm and slightly relaxed manner because I now have a packet of Goody's in my system. I can still feel the headache if I think on it, but the pain has been dulled to a point where it is just a quiet throb in my head. It still makes me wonder what is causing it, and if there is anything I can do to fix it.

I would go to my chiropractor for this, but the funds we set aside for medical expenses this year ran out with my eye surgery (we sort of expected it to) and now I can not afford to go to the chiropractor for the rest of the year. Luckily we had gotten to the point where he was scaling back my visits because he had done pretty much everything he needed to do for getting my back fixed. Next year we will probably allot some more money toward a chiropractor fund and then I will see about going back.

As it is right now I am pretty sure the current headaches are being caused by tension in my shoulders, neck and head. I can feel the tension in them, but I don't think I will be able to get it worked on anytime soon. Chiropractor does just adjustments, and I can't afford the massages, and getting Kevin to massage my back, neck or head is like pulling teeth and when it does happen it is usually short and painful. I usually end up more tense afterward than I was to begin with. At this point I don't really know what to do to fix any of it. Oh well...
