Periodically amusing

So, I found these and laughed more than I needed to. I want to make a batch of these! Perhaps once I find someone in town who will appreciate the humor, I will.

Actually, I love this whole tag, especially the Gel Electrophoresis. I really want to go grocery shopping for test batches ( Read more... )

Ah, it sounds like you're not only a brilliant mind, but you have your wits about you, too! Very rare in young men these days!

Ja, one of the few memories I have of my college years is spending most of my time in labs and seminars. Most of it was for medical training, but I did listen in on a few presentations on astronomy and astro-biology when I had a little free time. Of course, I don't think I retained much of that knowledge, but I do know that it's a truly fascinating subject! Even under my...ah..."former employ", I often flipped through Science/Discovery/NASA channels when I had a moment just to keep current.

It does seem like there is a vast shortage of those that learn just for the sake of learning, doesn't it? I'll admit, at first I was so greatly focused on my original field of work that I hardly ever made time to study much else. Of course, one of the only good things I can say about where I've come from is that had I not been where I was, I wouldn't have been allowed me to broaden the scope of what I could do, and open my mind to all sorts of new possibilities.

Actually, for a while I wanted to distance myself from science all together. It is a very long story, but my former employ was...less than pleasant. However, I lasted all of one hour before I realized what a huge part of me it is. I guess there are some things you just can't change, right?

Oh, I literally just got done reading about that! Ethyl formate, right? Who would have guessed! Every day it seems like we're getting closer and closer to a giant "Eureka!" moment, doesn't it?

Ah, where you come from sounds so lovely. To truly think that it's nothing out of the ordinary, in and of itself, is extraordinary to me. If only I could have been brought up where you had been!

Ohh, right. I've heard that this place is a little tricky for communications, isn't it? Please forgive me! I didn't mean to offend, or cause you to remember how difficult contact is. I just found out yesterday how trying it can be, after overhearing a conversation at breakfast. Had I known, I wouldn't have said it. Please accept my apology.
