FMA, Cosplay, and RPG, Oh my!
I've sort of been absent for a while so thought I would give a bit of an update. Firstly I am afraid I have been straying from the Re-Animator fandom to the Full Metal Alchemist (FMA) fandom. I must say it is my favorite Anime out of the ones I own and have seen, it's actually a very sad story. So...I'm afraid that there may not be any Re-Animator fan fiction from me for awhile, so I want to apologize in advance for that. I'm actually in the middle of writing an FMA one...yes I have been heavily corrupted. This summer I plan on cosplaying Edward Elric (main character) at an Anime convention this summer...that is if I can get a costume together. I am also going to try and attend an anime convention in Chicago in May I believe. I'm going with a big group to that one and we're all cosplaying Hellsing. So I need to get my costume together for that one too. ugh...I need money...
On a more fun note though, Thursday I hung out with some guys from my school and we played an RPG that was all about Zombies!! Andrew who is the one that was running it, is attending this convention type thingy soon and he needed to do a little test run with it and we were his guinea pigs. It's similar to Dungeons and Dragons, game play wise that is. create a character, and use dice rolls for your actions and what not. Now there were two books that had various characters you could be, one guy, Nick decided to play an Asylum Escapee that he named Scott, and Eric played a Russian Vietnam Veteran who was Scott's buddy, and he drives a garbage truck and owns a flame thrower...On the character sheets it lists what is in your inventory...He has a garbage truck and a flame thrower O_o oh and his name was Igor ( pronounced eh-ghor according to the character) The basic premise was, we were all in a hospital and there was a chemical spill at the military base and this green fog covers the whole city and everyone exposed to it become zombies. It was a lot of fun, especially Scott, Nick's character. He ended up getting his arm severed, ax in his own leg and impaled with a shower curtain rod...it's a long story.
But yeah, mostly I have been into Full Metal Alchemist, been doing some live action roleplaying with some friends as Edward Elric. I'm not totally abandoning Re-Animator, I could never ever do that! It's just for the moment I am straying into some new ground, so just in case anyone had any questions on my lack of fan fiction that is why.
