Dear members of ridinxdirty,
Four years ago, I came to Livejournal to find it pretty lacking of any NASCAR presence. I created RXD hoping to establish a place for NASCAR fans to share art and fangirl their hearts out. It would be an understatement to say it worked, but I'm sure many of you will agree that it did. The community, however, would have never become anything without the wonderful members that brought it to life. Over the years, I like to think we've become a tight-knight family both within the community and in our own respective journals. I've never been so grateful to find dedicated and passionate individuals who care so much about a sport as I have found within this community. We've gone through frustrations, sadness, giddy fangirl moments and great banter together, and for that I don't know how to thank you enough.
It saddens me to announce that after four years, RXD will be closing. Our members, makers, and owners have all grown up and moved on to tackle life. Our inner fangirls may have mellowed out, but we all walk away having met great friends and made great memories. I'd like to thank all the makers and staff who have invested their time in this community, especially summerstar18, alexwhitman25 and hermionesparkle. This community would not have run as smoothly or amusingly without the three of you having my back.
This is the part where I say, "Peace out!" but I'd rather not do that. Instead, I'll say, "See you around!" because fangirling is hard to resist.
