Tumblr Picspams?

Hi! I know this is kind of awkward/random, but I found your LJ through your Tumblr. I've seen a few of your Community and Modern Family picspams over there (which I love!), and I was wondering how you edited them. They're just so bright and have this "glow"/gradient-ish quality about them that I definitely didn't notice when watching the show. I completely understand if you'd rather not share your editing skills; I was just curious!I don't want to learn so I can just copy you and be done with it, but I'm always on the lookout for new coloring techniques. Anyway...yeah. Sorry this is kind of a weird comment!

Hahaha, not weird at all! I'm very flattered. Um, well, I use Adobe Photoshop CS and I duplicate the base and screen it (set opacity/fill to your preference) > new application layer: curves > new application layer: color balance > new application layer: brightness & contrast > new application layer: saturation > lastly, i add whatever texture works

Ooh, thanks! I do all that stuff, too, except for color balance. Color balance seems to be the "thing," but I've never been able to figure it out! But this helps a lot, thanks!
