Ah, takoyaki <3 I haven't had that in almost a year. I like okonomiyaki and taiyaki too.

I like those too! And monjayaki, even if that's just okonomiyaki.

They're all really good. I only get them at Christmas though, so it makes me wish it was December already.

I live in New York state with my uncle. Aside from some simple things like curry rice and onigiri, we don't eat Japanese food until we visit Aunt Izumi in Tokyo for Christmas.

I can't cook to save my life. Uncle Tosh is ok, but I think he's too afraid to try. I don't mind too much though. Makes the holidays that much more special.

Ahaha, that's too bad! But I guess that's true too. Holidays should be really special.

Can you cook much Japanese food here? The ingredients seem like they'd be too scarce here.

They are. But I hear that sometimes the scientists are nice and help us out! And there are lots of people from Japan here.
