At the temple, the monks taught us to try to be honest in all of our dealings, because secrets were like an infected wound that would only grow worse with time, but now I'm starting to see the advantage of keeping some things to yourself. Sure, a lot of times when I don't tell people the truth, it backfires - but there were lots of times when I had

Katara? I... oh, monkeyfeathers - I said all that out loud!? ARGH! The whole point was that I didn't want to tell you all that yet! I guess maybe I should have, though, it's just... like you said, it's a lot to deal with, and then you have to deal with all the stuff that happens here.
Um... let's see... you and Zuko went to fight Azula, and Zuko was fighting her alone, but then she cheated and tried to hit you with lightning - but Zuko got in the way and tried to redirect it to protect you, but didn't do it all the way, so he couldn't fight and you had to fight her yourself. But it's okay, she was already kind of insane by that point I think. You didn't even have to use bloodbending or anything! You just - wham! - froze her in a bunch of ice and then chained her up. She's in a hospital, now, though. From the being crazy.
And uh... the play was this play we went to see while Zuko was teaching me firebending at Ember Island, and it was a play all about us, but they got a lot of things wrong. And then some things that I was afraid they got right... like you and Zuko... I mean, I wanted to sit next to you! But it was a really depressing play because they had us all get there during the comet and then die.
I guess that almost came true... Ozai used the comet to attack the Earth Kingdom. He was going to destroy it, the same way Sozin did to us. I knew he was bad, but... it turned out okay though!
You... you found the man, and you didn't kill him, Katara. I was really proud of you. Because I know you really wanted to, but you couldn't do it. You're above that.
The girlfriend thing, huh... um...
I'm sorry.
