I think I might be the only person who says "fantastic" non-sarcastically.
Good news person: I'm engaged or some other happy news!
Me: Faaantastic.
Good news person: !
I'm sincere, honest. The problem probably arises from the fact that I am also sarcastic when I say it sometimes. (but for all intents and purposes, sincere)
English classes might be the only place where we "problematize" things. Can we not think up a better word for it? What other disipline is there where we carefully define something, then smash that definition to pieces?
