This weekend

This weekend, rocked in so many ways... I went through the rest of my REI training, and meet a few kick ass people. Also connected with some people, I had know but not really talked to them about what they did (Stuart from Stonegardens). On Saturday night, I head out to a Renagade Rave. The first I have ever been to in my life. I am not a typical party nut, but something clicked and I spent 6 hours dancing to jungle and other techno, under a bridge in South Seattle with 400-500 other people. I rocked. The only thing was at one point, I was in the zone, tried to do a flip, and landed on my head... One scared head and a mild concussion later, and it was back to dancing. Cleaned the blood of my face. I have been sort of dazed since that experience, but I think it has more to do with dehydration. Either way, I felt a RELEASE!

Had this last minute desire to head to the Banff Mtn Film Festival showing at the Bagdad Theater in Portland, OR. I caught wind of it from acadiabaird's journal. I saw it when it was here in Seattle. Thought it rocked... Some of the Ski Para gliding off the faces of the Dolimites, and then John Muir's Trek across Austraila (No this is not Serria Muir, but the man seems just as crazy and focused). The festival reels rocked. I was unable to locate tickets, as I had to be in portland to pick them up (duh!)... But determined to hit up Radical Reels in Septemebers before heading to Banff for this years actual festival.

Banff has a special place for me. First time I went there, was when Joe and I were just getting into the mountains (11 yrs old). I went there again for my honeymoon 5 years ago, yet have not returned. Now the place seems to need to be revisted. Something to signify my 30's. The mountains I want to climb, and the freedom that has be obtained... I want to return and begin the "Mountain Madness" that is my life...

Not sure if that cuncussion KNOCKED some Sense into me, but it feels like it... Time to make on this. Welcome Jorj to your 30's, year and a half early *:O)... (Hitting the Gym tonight...)
