So, I still have shit to do (of course, seeing as how I'm back in school and that's how the world works) but I am having a pretty good weekend. For the first time since I've been in New Jersey, I really feel like I am actually here, both physically and mentally. That feels more satisfying.

Thursday night I went to the football game with some friends from Bloustein, where we got a good workout holding our arms up in varying positions while screaming repeatedly and waving small white towels in the air. So much fun! The game lasted over four hours--very long for a game but it was truly a good time. There was always part of me when I was at Hopkins that resented not being able to really experience the big school football thing. Geeks revenge at Hopkins (this is what I call the senation of athletes being the outcasts rather than the heroes) was alright, I guess, but well, I like school spirit. And there was tons of it at Rutgers on Thursday night. Even better since we upset the #2 team in the nation. Even if they shouldn't have actually been #2.

Last night I went up to Brooklyn to go out with Bev and Mike and experienced the weird-ass thing that is Josh. Well, I saw him anyway...so I guess I didn't really "experience" him, LOL. I don't think I've ever seen someone who so embodied the "scene" in a way that makes me completely despise it. Just a gut kind of feeling. Maybe knowing what he was doing to my friends impacted my opinion, but I dunno. It was just very strange, and reminded me of why I could never handle actually being part of the Brooklyn scene. Had a good time seeing B & M, though, and I'm sure I will head back up as soon as time permits. Because it still is going out in New York, which is still a good time. Plus I like guys who wear plaid, and there are lots of those in Brooklyn.

Now I'm just at home working on work and school work, wearing what I refer to as "the most comfortable pants in the world," having just gotten back from the L-Bar thing with Sara, et al in South Amboy. Feeling peaceful. I think I'm finally starting to get into the groove of this whole school thing again...

Until next time...

Oh, BTW, below is a pic of me after rushing the field at the f-ball game. It's blurry, but well, it's what I got.
