Kaitou is pissed off! Of course he could have just told her that he, gasp! actually cares if something bad happened to her, but since she was being stubborn and since he thinks what she did was stupid, she gets his yelling method of expressing that care instead. And right now I think, at least for Kaitou, that Natsumi isn't quite at the point where he can go I-WILL-YELL-AT-YOU-AND-TELL-YOU-YOU-ARE-AN-IMPORTANT-TREASURE-OF-MINE. Admittedly, though he does care for her it's still because she's somewhat connected to Tsukasa, and his way of thinking is that this is Tsukasa's comrade and by association is mine too, though he's getting better in camp about seeing her as an individual. Also he thinks it's kind of stupid that Natsumi doesn't want them to leave her but doesn't care if something happened to her, because as he sees it LOL VAMPIRES = BAD, Natsumi what were you thinking? And admittedly since she's a comrade by association he also considers her as one of his treasures, and damn you treasures need to stop doing things that can harm you.
Also he totally took her last comment about why she was ever concerned at him at face value. So yeah, that kind of hurt for him too, and he's being his "I don't give a shit" self right now, because it is clearly all her fault and he doesn't want to bother. I know, he's such a fail.
Unfortunately the only way anyone's getting to him is if they still keep dere-ing even if he's being a jerk or if they're as persistent as Tsukasa. And unfortunately Natsumi only yelled back at him so I DO NOT THINK THAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN THIS CASE LOL. Sob they seriously need intervention asap.
So in relation to that! What will get Natsumi to talk to Kaitou again?
... sob. The problem is that she needs some kind of validation. With Tsukasa, she knows that whatever he says or does, he cares about her enough to have given up part of his life to bring her back. They get mad at each other for as long as ... forever but when it comes down to it they know that whatever it is they are to one another is bigger than an argument, especially when you've brought each other back from the dead for heaven's sake.
She doesn't have that with Daiki. She doesn't know that what he says when he's yelling, he might not really mean. She doesn't have a reason not to take what he says at face value and until she has some way to prove that to herself she'll never be sure if she can do that. She loves her housemates dearly and wouldn't actually trade them for the world but as much as you can love someone if they treat you like crap, there's really no point.
I think he does! He's just being a jerk right now, but eventually he WILL want to talk to her again. Despite being horribly mean to her sometimes he does feel not-so-okay when they're ignoring each other, because yes, he does care about her. It will take a while for him to make a move on his own, though. And probably something somewhat bad to happen to her so he can run to her rescue. Because that's how he rolls.
The question is whether she'd talk to him again if he did make the first move? Take note that there will probably be no apology involved.
If there's no apology involved it would depend on what it was that he said and what kind of mood she was in, to be very honest. She wants to believe he didn't mean it but she can't find a reason to, and him making the first move would go a long way to helping since she's used to Tsukasa never apologizing for anything.
What (oh god this is the most hypothetical question there ever was) if Natsumi did? Would he just blow her off?
Likewise, it depends on his mood! But then again he's mostly in his trollface mood unless someone's done something to annoy him/he failed to steal something he wants, so he'd probably just be a bit surprised if she does, and then quickly revert to how he normally treats her. Except maybe be less of a jerk, because he knows it's not the best time to push her buttons. For a while, at least. He's pretty bad at this being nice thing.
