Hold my hand and squeeze it back
Tickle my face and you know I won’t squirm
Stare in my eyes and turn away
Only so far and than you’re scared

You take half and hold
Press your cheek against mine
Expect me to be satisfied
I am, but it’s lonely on the edge

No sleep, she is starting on strange patterns
Trying to take her mind off those teenage girl problems
Buried herself underneath the sheets and shutting her eyes
She opens them up and is still here

She likes it there, it’s warm and secure
It feels for a moment in her grasp
If only fear of rejection didn’t plague her every thought
To be content with what life offers just won’t do
