Relief
~On my third day off and happily taking a sigh of relief. Though the next shift is tomorrow at 6am, there are only two shifts until my requested vacation time for my parents visit to BC; I think I can handle it. The mind and emotions have wound tight, currently at point break, I'm trying very hard to hold it together. Next week will be a rush to tour and clean for our visitors, but it will be with wilebobcat and my family, not work related. I'm looking forward to this, a camping trip to truly loose myself and do NOTHING, then Rainfurest in September (still nervous on the later).
~Canada Day found us putting a few things in the shopping cart to make our guests comfortable: Egyptian-cotton sheets, down duvet, and bathroom accessories- I'm slightly jealous of our second bedroom now >.<'. After shopping, we headed over to p_dawgydog and laceaurora's place to chill with a small group of friends, a pretentious Canadian cake in my paws to share.
~Another weight off my shoulders came on Monday when Taco was returned home in good condition. He was turned out with my parent's horse and they got along just fine, so it makes it simpler if they decide to do the go-ahead to purchase their own land, saving on boarding costs. I do miss my horse and my career with equines, but I do know that with my current standings in life, an equestrian lifestyle is just out of the question. Shed a tear, drink a beer, be in good cheer- things don't always go as planed, but that is life and how it rolls.
~Now it's back to playing with some photoshop painting.
