Ok, so I just received an email from an old 'employer,' wanting me back on staff. Here is the funny, long story short: I met friend online, visited a couple years later, liked the area (Canada), graduated college and quasi-moved from US to Canada, said 'employer' promised to help with immigration paperwork but after my time was nearing the end on my visa 'employer' failed to help and left me with no options but to move back. Along this time, friend and I became involved and had gotten to the point of "Will You?" We agreed, got married the following year, after a long wait and much paperwork I was able to return to Canada and be with my lover.
This is what I got:
Hello Ethan
How are you? You are a residence of BC? That's great, how long have you been here for. We are looking for staff if you are interested give me a call. We have built a new place about 10km from Show Park, it is really nice and really great place to work out of.
Kind regards,
"Blah blah Employer"
"Blah Blah" Show Stables
I mean, is it me or does it speak like nothing happened or any of the stress I got from it all, was justified? I feel ill.
*laughing with a sigh*
SO... what do you say to old 'employer' when it is the field in which you studied and want to be in again, but they did some twisted things and almost got you in international trouble? The job I have now is retail (not my cup-o-tea) and non rewarding, but close to home. Oh how cruel life can be. With a double take, I don't know what to do with the email; I'm going to sit on it for a few days and try to make sense of things.
Suggestisons, comments? What a holey shit moment.
