Barrhaven & Bostons
Yesterday Em & I packed up the kids and headed over to my friends house in Barrhaven. Em and I are kinda looking at buying a house and since Ottawa is a very expensive place to live we were checking out the city of Barrhaven, which is a little suburb of Ottawa that is still only 15 minutes to downtown and 10 minutes to my work. Best of all the houses are nice and under $200G. At least 4 of the guys at work bought out there so I decided to bring Em to my friend Corey's house. I've known Corey since my days in Petawawa and we got posted here to Ottawa about the same time. He is also the only one at work who I actually consider my friend.
Corey also owns the coolest kind of dog in the world, a Boston Terrier named Winston. There is also his partner in crime Lincoln, who is the hugest Pug in the world 32 pounds! Well Em got the tour of the house and also got to chill with the Boston.
Now as most of you know we are getting a Boston in the summer from a breeder in Peterborough. So it was important for Em to see how big they are in person as they are fairly rare and you don't really see them that often in the Beaches where Em grew up since in the Beaches dogs are status symbols and all the yuppy scum believe they look cool with a large hunting dog and smaller pups ar few and far between.
As for what em really thinks of them, you'll have to ask her, it was a long time convincing her about this dog breed and I'm pretty sure she still thinks they are hideous but we NEED a dog and this seems to be the best breed for our lifestyle.
On a side note, we don't know what we are doing for St Patty's day, I would love to go to Kristov's but I can't actually see it happening...
I have many bad memories of St Patty's day so it'll be a first in a long time going out. I Just dread vomiting green stuff because when I don't have to drive I really giver!
