A pony that is small enough to bring into the house on Thanksgiving!!!
No... Really.
So my grandparents were visiting from Cape Cod for Thanksgiving and they wanted to meet the new pony! I brought them down and let Dixie run around (hopefully more pics on that later). We were joking on the walk back to the barn that it would be great to put Dixie in their car and walk her into the house to see what Mom would say. Well, Poppa said "What the hell, lets do it!" You only live once, right?
Getting her into the car was the hardest part of the entire trip, but she did it. She climbed right up on the seat and I balanced her against the back of the seat. We drove home and my sister was walking our dog on the road as we drove up. We put the window down so Dixie could poke her head out. My sister almost lost her mind! It was awesome. We got to the house and Dixie hopped out of the car. She walked right up the stairs on the back porch and I opened the door. "I'm home!" I yelled, and walked Dixie right into the house. My Mom did a double take and then just about pissed herself laughing. I walked her right through the house and into my Gram's rooms. Gram almost died. She hung out in the living room for a while, watched some football, and visited with the dog. Dixie wasn't afraid of anything (I don't think she ever is) and she acted like she goes into the house all the time.
Chillin'

Trisha acted like having a pony in the house is an everyday occurence.

I know Dixie goes up stairs but I think down is a little too steep. So instead I took her out the front door. We only have 3 steps down and they are much wider and less steep. She did wonderfully!
Almost there Dixie!
No, I can not have a normal ANYTHING. :-) Another childhood dream accomplished!
