It's very irritating how my brother can switch on the television and let it take control over me. Once again, I'm distracted. I need to tell everyone this because I'm such a LOSER.! I completely skipped tuition (bcuz I didn't feel like going, studying for bio test tmrw was one of the reasons) But hey ho.! Guess what I did when I reached home.! I friggin slept.! It's so irritating. When I woke up, I felt so sick.! Which I still am now, my nose and eyes are itching, irritating shit.! What is wrong with me?
Okay, let me digress.
After pollination, the stigma secretes a sugary fluid which stimulates the growth of the pollen grain. From each pollen grain, a pollen tube grows. Cytoplasm and 2 nuclei (vegetative and generative) pass into the tube. The vegetative nucleus controls the growth of the pollen tube. Enzymes are secreted to destroy the stigma and the style. The pollen tube penetrates right through the style and enters the ovule through the micropyle. Along the way, the generative nucleus divides to form 2 male, non motile gametes and the vegetative nucleus disintegrates. Within the ovule, the tip of the pollen tube absorps the sap and bursts releasing the 2 gametes. Double fertilisation occurs, one male gamete with the ovum forms the zygote (fertilisation) and the other male gamete with the defiinitive nucleus forms the endosperm nucleus (food reserve)
