Today was a fucking good day.
School was cool. I walked into school with Kristen this morning, so I had someone to talk to. I tweaked the backflip dude I've been working on in CAD, and it came out pretty good. IM me and ask for it, and I'll send it to you. Only like 300KB.
After school I went to Best Buy with Kristen. We got lost because I was supposed to take the second Brockton exit and not the first. As far as I knew there was only one Brockton exit, so mom to the rescue. I called her up, and thanks to her knowledge of every road and highway that goes to a mall in the greater Massachusetts area, she helped me get there. I bought Donnie Darko, the new Modest Mouse CD, and the newest Hatebreed CD that came out not too long ago. I wasn't exaggerating at all when I told Kristen that Modest Mouse is the weirdest music she'd ever hear. The CD is so fucking weird, but I like about half of the songs so far. Hatebreed fucking kicks my ass it's so good. I don't know how I haven't blown my car speakers yet. I really want a system.
Last night I ordered stuff for my computer. I got a new motherboard (with 6 USB 2.0 ports), a Pentium 4 2.8GHz 533MHz FSB processor with a fan for it, a stick of 512MB 400MHz RAM, and a new case with two USB ports in the front and it already has case fans. I should get it in about a week or so, and Mr. Raposa said that I could bring it into class if I have any troubles, and it would turn into a class project for the like 10 under classmen still in school. The only problem is getting Windows XP to work with the Windows ME partitioning, so I gotta figure out how to wipe the whole hard drive. My CD burner started working again today, so I'm finishing backing up stuff. $419 with shipping, and about $77 in rebates. Hell of a lot cheaper than a new computer, which to compete with this would cost around $2000.
I'm in such a random mood, but it feels good. After listening to the Hatebreed CD twice, I'm listening to Modest Mouse again, and I must say it's a lot better now just chilling out than when I'm in a car. It's music you must be in the mood for. I'm lucky about the CD to, because I snapped the first CD I bought before I left the Best Buy parking lot, so I went in and told them it was broken and in five minutes I had a brand new copy.
I'm considering prom. I don't wanna go because of the dancing, because I just plain hate that, and because I don't have many friends I'm really close with, since they're at BP. But after Lindsey was talking to me about it tonight, I'm kind of considering it. Besides, my mom said she'd pay for everything. Why she wants me to go that bad, I do not know. Tonight at the internship recognition night thingy Lindsey, her mom (who is wicked nice and funny), and my mom were trying to convince me to go. You could say I'm open minded, and it worked. It just might have, but I haven't decided yet. I'm still thinking about it.
