Chris and I spent pretty much the whole day today at Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios today. Flordia's vacation was last week, so this week the park (lines-wise) was pretty dead. We didn't wait more than an hour for anything (if that long), and many rides we didnt wait more than a few minutes. We did some gay Unicorn rollercoaster once, Hulk once, Dueling Dragons three times, Spiderman twice, Jurassic Park three times, Poseidon's Fury (a show) once, and I think that was about it. It kicked ass. It also made me want to read comic books while being there, because there are comic characters and cartoons everywhere.
One time on Jurassic Park, the third time actually, the dude behind us (we were first row) had a video camera, which is prohibited on the ride. Halfway through, they yell on the intercom "sir would you please shut off the video recorder or we will stop the ride." We turn, and he films for a few more seconds and then hides it under his hat, good enough where the security cameras can't see it I guess. Another time they said it, and he hid it. Right at the very end of the ride, where the T-Rex is supposed to attack and then you drop down the huge hill, they stop the ride, turn on the lights, the dinosaur stops, and they get on the intercom again. The chick gets on again, and then a dude. "Please turn off your camera sir, we can see the red light that it's on. We are all around you and can see that you're using it." And then the woman, "Would someone please tell that man in the second row to turn off the camera!" Chris and I turn and tell him to, the dudes in the third row tell him to, and he just keeps filming getting a kick out of it. Then he hid it in his hat. They started the ride, and we went down the huge drop, meanwhile Chris and I pick our noses for the camera. After the ride we saw the dude again and he just kept laughing his ass off.
I'm off to bed now, one last day at Disney tomorrow, hitting up three parks in one night. I have a long trek accross the parking lot back to the room, using our Mitsubishi Endeavor(sp?). With a V8, this thing boots. Goodnight y'all.
