I'm seriously stoked. The four books I got, are basically bout some historical art. Talking bout Leonardo Da Vinci's paintings, philosophy, aphorisms, anatomy, comparative anatomy, physiology, natural history, human proportions, medicine, optics, acoustics, astronomy, botany, geology, physical geougraphy, topographical notes, atmosphere, flight, flying machine, movement and weight, mathematics, the nature of water, hydraulics, canalization, experiments, inventions, warfare, naval warfare, comparison of the arts, precepts of the painter, colour, landscape, light and shade, perspective, artists' materails, commissions, sculpture, casting, architecture, music, tales, jests, fables, a bestiary, allegory, prophecies, personalia, letters, dates notes, books and more!! I am FULLY stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leonardo Da Vinci WAS DEFINITELY A GENIUS and DEFINITELY AHEAD of his TIME.

^See, there you go.

Oh, and this drawing of an unborn baby in the womb from 1510-1512, is derived partly from Leonardo's knowledge and partly from hypothesis. The covering of the foetus is based on what he observed and does not strictly correspond with what occurs in the human womb. Nevertheless, his vision of the shape of the child curled up in the uterus is realistic and is a well-drawn version. His notes also shed light on the knowledge of the time: for example, although he knew the foetus did not breathe as such, he also believed that the heartbeat he could hear was only that of the mother, and he shared the assumption that the soul of the foetus was indistinguishable from that of the mother.

This drawing of the skull has been presented by Leonardo in such a way that the student can see what goes on under the superficial layer of bone structure as well as see the whole shape. The skull, cut in two, has the frontal and maxillary air sinuses, the nasal cavity and the roots of the teeth exposed on the side where the wall of the skull has been cut away. All the fissures in the skill visible from this angle are clearly and accurately shown. As a drawing of the bone structure of the head it has been universally admired for its accuracy and proportion.

This all just simply...amazes me, it's so intriguing. I wish I could have talked to Leonardo Da Vinci..and discussed ideas and such. It'd be fun! :-D

Now, SONG OF THE DAY!

Brian, tender kisses is my run run run wish for you
Brian, tender drops of blood run run run I'm thinking of you
how far does your brother go with you?
Brian, growing boy stay stay stay awake is my prayer for you
Brian, tender clutches run run run I'm thinking of you
what happens to you when your dad
hears your brother pull down your underpants
