Tyson is absolutely amazing. He's going to be turning 1 on August 3rd - crazy I have a one year old kid. He's walking very well, and it's crazy the personality they get and how quick they get it. He's a great kid, we got very lucky

Maybe since the grandparents are not close to you it might be a cool thing to get a webcam each and talk on there. Since my parents and I did that it's been a lot easier being so far away from them, but being able to see them every week. They might appreciate that for seeing Tyson, Kellen and yourself more often.
I agree with you about friends, I ponder this quite a lot especially since I've moved around a bit over the past few years since I went away to university. It makes me sad sometimes as I remember how good the times were or how supportive we were for each other. I'm finding that so far my cycle of friends since then has been more like every 2-3 years (or less!). This is especially true of work colleagues that become good friends while you're there, but once you change job it's difficult to keep up when you're not together every day. Of course I've moved from university to London, back to where my parents live and finally over to Chicago in the past few years. I don't keep in touch with anyone from university, I have friends from my time in London, although it's now limited to emails now and again since none of us are there anymore. The friends I have near my parents I see once a year when we go back to the U.K. for Christmas. I never really was a phone person, so it's the odd email and that trip to hang out and have fun. Where I am now, we have a circle of friends that I hope won't change too much, however people keep leaving Chicago and moving out to San Francisco. Bah! :P
It makes me sad that the time we have is so short, but then again people change, move and are at a certain stage of their life at different times. I expect some friends will drop off more completely once they start to have kids, it's just the way life is I guess.
