Rather than stealing memes, I thought I'd write my own for once. This is kind of inspired by Dave and Ian's old house. The living room had so much electronic equipment in there that it seemed like some kind of TARDIS, so here's a rather wordy TARDIS meme.
since i was there when we talked about this i thought i'd give it a go.
What does your TARDIS look like? -I definately go with a homely feel with several chairs, whats the point of travelling through time and space if i'm going to have to stand up all the time in a post industrial wasteland. I do think that our Living room is the best design for a device in which to cross time and space.
Describe your control console - Actully i'd move away from the massive platform control, since it means that what ever control you want in an emergency its always the one on the far side that you have to lunge for or instruct the mindless assistant, who will always press the wrong one. Instead i'll have a small laptop wirelessly connected that i can use to control everything.
What are the walls in the console room like? - Paint over plaster. I'm not a fan of the wrought iron or the painted polystyrene looks. I'd go for a nice green, not too dark but royal.
Any sunken levels or gantries in there? - No, Sunken levels allow for villains to hide and ambush me while gantries provide places where assistants or myself can be tossed off or have things dropped on us.
Five items of furniture that your console room would always have:
1. - Comfortable Sofa, bolted to the floor and with seatbelts. For when things get rough
2. - A circular thing in the wall designed to glow and piston up and down, for the retro look.
3. - Beer Fridge
4. - Kettle
5. - Widescreen Tv
Five trophies from your adventures in time and space:
1. - DnD 6th Edition, when it finally makes sense
2. - Captain Kirk's Chair from the original series before it got burnt.
3. - Firefly Season 2, from an alternate reality where Network bosses are not insane.
4. - King Richard I's Broadsword
5. - Some First edition Shakespeare, if only to show off with.
The inside of a TARDIS can be a pocket universe. So what does your bathroom look like? -
I've never found a Bathroom comfortable... But really an averagely normal bathroom would be fine.
There’s also space for some rooms that are just completely off the wall, a recreation of Blackpool’s coast circa 1891 for example. Describe one of yours - I think i'd have to have a room replicateing a warm summers day along Muddy Lane at my home.
Finally, does your chameleon circuit work? Does it have any quirks?- I think it would have to have some quirk, I think that their would definately be a mythic theme to its disguises.
