So this is my wonderful purchase that is now sitting in my driveway. Last week I went to check it out, and immediately loved it. It only has 2666 miles, and was only riden 300 miles in the past year, which is why the guy was selling it. After today I rode it 1/4th of the mileage he rode it all summer. I drove from Quincy trying to avoid I90 because I forgot my ez-pass and tolls on a motorcycle just blows. On my way back I decided to head to Adams so I could go to the top gear party (plus I knew food would be cooked) Watched an episode of Top Gear about bikes, and then rode home. All in all I rode between 2 and 2 and a half hours on a day where the high was like 44 degrees. It was cold, but fantastic. I'm in love with the bike. Also note: when you have to use the bathroom, unbuttoning your first set of pants THEN moving on to the next set of pants is really strange.
To go with the new bike I picked up this gaudy thing:
I don't know why I had to go with the camo, I don't even like camo! I've never owned ANYTHING camo ever before. Though it may just be that I have no interest in wearing camo, but having in other places is fine. I dunno, but now people won't see my bike in the driveway.
In other vehicle news, VW is getting rid of the Rabbit name for 2010. For those of you keeping track, it was rabbit for 5 years, golf for 15 years, and now its been rabbit for the past 5, and now we're back to golf. VW just can't make up their mind. I prefer the rabbit name, the symbol is so much better.
Purchase story later, now sleep.
