Just When You Think...
I was looking forward to another boring day in my life. On Wednesdays my older brother takes my mother grocery stopping. He lives just up the hill from us. Not five minutes after they left, I started hearing noises from up the hill, l so looked out the window. His entire house was engulfed in flames. Luckily there was no one home, not even the dog. By the time I got downstairs my younger brother had already called the fire department. They got here about 15 minutes later. However, we are outside the rural fire protection district, so they couldn't do anything except watch it burn. It was too late to save it anyway. Within an hour it is just a pile of rubble. It didn't catch any trees on fire, lucky, because he lives on the edge of the forest. My older brother is going to come home from shopping and find his house completely burned down. Of course they lost everything that was in the house. They have four vehicles, two of which were away from home and two of which were far enough away from the house to not get damaged. Also, the tractors and other stuff were fine. However, the family of four (two teenagers, 12 and 14) lost everything. I would appreciate your prayers during this difficult time for my brother and his family.
