Things to do in Baltimore while surrounded by Otaku...
This weekend wasn't "The Hangover" for me...but working at Otakon 2010 was all I could ask for an more. Some of the things I've done before...running into random friends, hanging out with Melissa and seeing Optimus Prime do the YMCA...kind of creepy but it was still cool.
Then there were the things I really did for the first time. I finally got to hang with the Otakurave Staff a little more. Since Mel and I were really starting to get to know each other last year I didn't get to hang with them as much, something I always regretted. Yeah that sounds a bit corny but I'm glad I got to do it this time around. Eating and hanging out, pulling an MST3K on some really bad Hentai, playing Munchkin Pirates with random people, trolling for parties at 2am in the hotels...I haven't had this much fun in one weekend in a long time.
Talk about some cool people, it makes me wish I could run into them more than one weekend out of the year. At any rate I can't wait to do it again next year...for now resting and shaking the lingering con funk sound good to me.
