Yes, that is the real video; yes, they are Asian, yes, this is encouraging to me. This song has been playing ~hourly on local radio (I bounce around the multiple T40 station). Sure, this sounds more neutral than "Learn Chinese" (which I have a song that is lyrically similar...), but "Worn Me Down" is also really neutral, AND Rachel Yamagata is mixed (like your trluly) too. So, what I mean is because I, myself, am also inspired to be a musician, and, well, you have the idea....
