a day in the life of rick johnson at play it again sports

so this just happened to me.

i am at work and the store is pretty busy. i am the only one working and i am shuffling through customers. these two kids walk into the store (when i say kids i mean 15-17 year olds.) and from their attitude i can tell they want to sell some stuff.
politely i ask "may i help you"
kid#1 who we will now refer to as keanu "ummmm we have like a shitload of stuff to sell"
me "alright bring it in and i can see what i can do."
the two kids then proceed bring in the following.

-two snowboards
-one pair of skis without the bindings
-6 pairs of ski poles

me " i am sorry we are not buying winter stuff until august....because it is all going into storage which is full and the owner doesn't want us taking in anymore stock."

keanu "duuuuuuude"

him and his friend take the stuff outside and i assume that is the last i will see of them.

moments later keanu and his friend bring in the following items.
-a long board that looks like it has been run over by a snowblower
-a golf set that looks like it was dipped in mud.
-a compound bow.
-a snowboard.
-5 really old tennis rackets
-3 baseball gloves.

i look over all the stuff and honestly the only thing i can buy are the baseball gloves.

so politely i say "unfortunately all i can buy out of this stuff are these baseball gloves." since they were old i was only able to offer $10 for them.

keanu upon hearing this "eeergh sooooorrrry duuuuuudddde i can't do that"

the take the stuff outside and as keanu leaves i here him say "thanks anyway DICKHEAD"

now many things don't piss me off but for some reason this super pissed me off. i was on my way out the door to start yelling at them but a customer came in and saved them. but congrats to them they are getting a song written about them tonight.

god bless america!
