So, not infrequently, Libby or I will say something in the form of "A nice XXXX would set me up for life!" Always in the same tone of voice. "Oh a nice glass of whiskey...would set me up for life!" A quick Google search shows the quote in The Land of Mist by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1926) - maybe that's it? (http://www.forgottenfutures.com/game/ff3/lmist.htm)
