I never post. But then, I was trying to organize the things that needed doing, and figured if I did it here, it would be like ... telling my friends what I was up to.
Shows:
Mariette in Ecstasy at Lifeline. Done, but I should definitely go see it. It is in previews now, press opening on Sunday.
Leading Ladies at Theatre at the Center. Going tomorrow night to watch final dress and give some touch-up notes if needed. Also, need to get an extra sword (or at least an extra grip) from David who currently has the weapons, since somehow they managed to crack one of the smallsword grips.
The Illusion at NEIU. Need to get back in and see what they are up to - the kids are talented and work hard, but at least one more rehearsal is called for...and they open...um....veryverysoon? So maybe on the way home on Thursday?
Macbeth (and a workshop first) at a school for the deaf in Wisconsin. Still working out dates for the workshop, which should be in the next 2 weeks. Try to keep this one simple, since it is a trek.
Macbeth at Purdue. Pre-production, need to schedule a first meeting with the director, who fortunately lives in Chicago. Ditto on the trek for this one.
Les Miserables at Nazareth Academy (high school). Pre-production, show is in April.
Henry V. Pre-production. Show is in Boston, and I get 1 rehearsal (in April)...so it needs to be simple. On the other hand the director (hi Tom!) has some very sophisticated ideas. Fortunately, Libby will be there to help.
House:
Projects to do are many. Moving in, for example, which will be a fairly massive process that I hope we start in a week or two! Need to stop by Home Depot at least once more to pick out shower doors. Have a fantasy about that being the last decision/extra expense. Dreaming on. Paint the back stairway. Paint the back stairs themselves. Help James install the pergo in the attic. Ditto on the downstairs front porch. Help Libby paint parts of her condo in preparation for selling it. Make (wood burning?) or acquire a sign to put on the front stoop that says 'No Hoy, Por Favor'.
Definitely cutting into my gaming schedule!
