I've been wanting to post for a while about a number of things, but I've been very busy lately. I'm more busy now than I have been through most of the school year.
First of all, I have begun working as a lifeguard at Misquamicut. So far it's great as expected. I've been working a ton of hours too. This obviously takes up most of my time.
Music news: I am eager to record the rest of the two albums I'm preparing. The name of the new North Brothers album is "Mr. Manfred's Last Night". It is a concept album once again. The cover art is shown on the front page of our website at
http://northbrothers.chariho.org .
I have also decided to release a solo album of original material. It will hopefully be released this year too. It won't be just me playing, but it'll be a bunch of different songs that I'm excited to record. Some of them already have been recorded. It really focuses on songwriting.
I took all kinds of political notes, here are a few of them that might be interesting.
I've been taking a look at my generation and I am making predictions of what will happen to the political landscape if it should remain a two party system. I think what's going to end up happening is that the republican party will become the same thing as the libertarian party, and the democratic party will become the socialist party. All in all it's a shift to the left, with the far-right being phased out. In a way that's good, but then again socialism gaining more power is never good. The best situation would be if everyone simply shifted to the middle and eliminated political parties, being careful not to create a one-party system.
I can't really think of anything else worth discussing right now.
