So Celeste and I are officially engaged, and I couldn't be happier.
I conspired for three months to make this happen, having decided I was ready before I left and working, saving, and otherwise secretly building to the dramatic moment on my return. I had a lovely white gold and jade ring custom made for her by a jeweler in Hokitika, and kept the whole deal secret until I returned and presented it to her.
