Friday and Today

Yesterday after work, I went down to The Castro to hang out. Bearbucks was fun. I ran into DaddyWill, Sammo and Mack. Mack is such a hot bear. He is one of two of my favourite bears who carry that rugged and masculine look that I find totally, completely and utterly sexy. Okay...maybe three.

Anyheezy, after coffee, I went to The Edge. It was sure crowded. Not much elbow room. I ordered my Cape Cod and I found a spot to sit by the door. It was good to see everyone, especially Drew and Adrian and the other couple of hundred guys that were packed into the bar. I struck up a conversation with these guys who were on a pretty extended vacation from Seattle. For some reason, I don't think they're going back. The "thing in orange" sat next to me for a while before bounding off to another corner of the bar. Um. Okay.

I was feeling kinda off, so I went home to relax for a bit until it was time to meet up with Chad. We had originally said Metro, but I had forgotten that he had also mentioned Trax and that's where we decided to meet instead, but fortunately, Trax wasn't far away. It's nice to know that there are people actually worth visiting in The Haight...but I digest.

From there, we took a cab to SOMA. Our first stop was The Lonestar. There were quite a few people there...including Sammo...who was busy playing pool. We went outside where DVS, Gene and LC were out on the patio. We had one more...and then it was time to find a new venue...so we went to the new Hole in The Wall. We were there for about 15 minutes when this guy came up to me and said hi. Turned out to be my rutabaga that I've been chatting with for over a year. He picked me up and cracked my back...[I love it when guys do that.]

The last stop of the evening was Powerhouse. Wasn't really there for that long, but it was nice to see Charles. I had stopped drinking for a while because of my scooter.

It took about 20 minutes to get a cab. When we flagged one down, Chad gave me some cab fare and sent me on my way. What a nice guy he is.

Today, I was awake early as usual and of course, Desmond was awake and invited me down to have coffee. We used to get together for coffee and laptops before. It was fun and I'd missed doing that with him.

I messaged Tom and as luck would have it, he was nextdoor so I stopped in and visited him. Eric was spinning some great jams from the 80's. Yay!

So, I totally blew off all my plans this morning to hang out at home. I was supposed to be down in SJ with the family and to attend a pool party with some of the bears, but this weather made me feel so unmotivated. Plus, it was a little too windy for my scootering comfort level, so I went home.

A friend of mine needed to talk/vent so he came over and hung out for a while with me. As it turns out, he's going to be starting up hula classes next week with a different halau. Yay.

I think it's Rock Band tonight. Tomorrow, I get to spend some quality time with Tom. ;-)
