(no subject)
So, I’m feeling much better and I’m almost back to normal. Hopefully I’ll feel well enough to get back to the gym by the end of the week.
I don’t know why exactly but I am in a great mood this morning. J
Bought the movie Snow Cake yesterday and watched it last night; great, great movie. Sigourney Weaver is brilliant and so funny, Alan Rickman is lovely and amazing, and Carrie Ann Moss is the luckiest woman on the planet. LOL!
The cinematographer must have just loved Alan because there are all these long lingering shots of him in profile and it’s soooooo very lovely. *sigh*
Changing gears; I have really fallen out of love with Dallas.
When I first moved here I was so grateful to have gotten out of backwater Louisiana. I remember when driving home after trips to LA and we’d finally get close enough to see the lights of downtown in the distance and how excited and relieved I used to feel but that doesn’t happen any more.
Dallas is a big, small minded city with no appreciation for burgeoning creativity. The people are rude and self-centered and the overall “scene”, if you can call it that, is nauseatingly pretentious.
I prefer people who aren’t trying to scrub away their quirks or keep up with the Jones’.
I have met a few great people here whom I cherish, , are amazing and I will adore them for the rest of my life. Some them have already left Dallas and I miss them terribly but I too will be very pleased when we can get out of here.
So in summary, I’m in a great mood, Alan Rickman is HOT and Dallas sux.
