SUNDAY BLAHS...
It's been a rather busy couple of weeks on the personal front. Feeling kind of blah tonight. Spent a good part of the weekend catching up on TV watching.
My old buddy C came for a visit. It was the first time I'd seen C in about 4 years but immediately seemed as if no time had passed. We ended up spending way more time together than we ever have and it was a great 10 days. We ate out a lot, saw a movie, did some shopping and stuff. Can you believe I sat in a Ferrari that, if I wanted to buy it, I would have to come up with a cool $1,000,000! It was unbelievable. Too bad I didn't get a picture of me in the car…But a picture of the car is supposed to be arriving in my inbox soon.
Luckily work cooperated and I only had to work a very minute amount of overtime and it coincided with C having a dinner engagement so it was all good. I also went in to work late every morning so I would have more time with C. His trip was extended by a day and I called in sick that last day. Shame on me…I never do anything like that but you know what? It was worth it.
Last Saturday, we had dinner with my sister, brother-in-law, nephew and best friend N and her son. Then, N, C and I went out to a little club to see some friends of mine play. We had a blast! Didn't get home until almost 3:00 am!!
Sister and brother-in-law are supposed to close on their new house the end of this week. They'll actually be closer to me than where they are living.
Only 3 months until we make our trek to Providence to see Billy Petersen live, on stage! I can hardly wait! Of course, with my luck, that will be the week that C comes to visit!! :-(
I really enjoyed the season premiere of CSI. The cases weren't as compelling as some have been in the past but all in all they were interesting. Sara looked fantastic. Loved her hair in this episode. It was straight, but not straight like in seasons past. I'm still having a hard time getting used to Billy Petersen without the beard. He looks great but I really miss the beard. He is sooo sexy with it! Looking forward to what the new season will bring in terms of the Grissom/Sara storyline.
The anti-GSR's keep saying that CSI will turn into a soap opera with the Grissom Sara Relationship. In the premiere, there were 2 scenes with just Grissom and Sara, totaling about 2 minutes of screen time. So that's turning the show into a soap opera? What about all the Catherine drama in the Premiere (drink spiked, potentially sexually assaulted, did her own evidence processing) and the next episode (car wreck, Lindsie kidnapped, slapped by Sam, Sam dies...)
I really HATE that Louise Lombard (Sofia) was put in the opening credits but Wallace Langham (Hodges) wasn't. He's been on the show longer and was actually supposed to have been made a full-credit cast member a season or two ago. Nothing against the actress, but I just don't like the character. She takes screen time away from Paul Guilfoyle (Captain Brass) and I miss him! What about the other cops? Seems like Detectives Vega, Vartann and the others have completely left the canvas...

How about the new issue of TV Guide? We finally got Grissom and Sara on the cover...and it wasn't a little bity tiny picture! I bought 10 copies!
Have been really behind in my CSI/GSR fanfic reading, what with the past few weeks being so busy. There's lots of new fics and updates to read so hopefully I will get to them this week.
