Woohoo! What a great Game 6 of the NLCS...Astros vs. Cardinals. For the first time since the franchise began in 1962 (my birth year too), the Houston Astros are playing in the World Series! World.Series!! I was so excited Sunday, I said to my good friend Cheryl in an IM message that they were headed to the Super Bowl! :-D
Unbelievable... Roy Oswalt pitched a stunning first 7 innings, allowing only 4 hits and 1 run, 118 pitches and 77 strikes.
Not much to say right now. Too excited! Except for Gum Drops on CSI tomorrow night. Fingers crossed that 'the scene' mentioned in TV Guide will actually air.
Oh yeah, almost forgot about Hurricane Wilma...Earlier today it was reported that Wilma was THE strongest hurricane EVER at 884 millibars, beating out Hurricane Gilbert (in 1988) which was 888 millibars. Of course, I have no idea what a millibar is, but my boss said it has to do with pressure readings; the lower the number, the stronger the storm is. 13 deaths have already been attributed to Wilma. Also crossing my fingers that gglovebug and hubby are spared from Wilma.
gglovebug also tagged me, so I feel compelled to participate but I don't have anybody to tag yet, but because I'm in such a good mood, I'll do it.
Name 10 things that bring you joy and then tag 5 others.
1. Anything to do with my family
2. Spending time with my nephew Aaron
3. Watching CSI, reading CSI/GSR fanfic, chatting about CSI/GSR (notice a pattern??)
4. Driving down the highway with the sun roof open, windows down, cool breeze blowing through and rock-n-roll music
5. The smell of baking bread or frying bacon...reminds me of my grandmother
6. Reading a mystery book and being completely surprised by 'whodunit'
7. Curled up in bed, reading with my cat Harley curled up next to me
8. Warm cookies and ice cold milk
9. Almost frozen Dr. Pepper...any time of the day or night
10. Right now, I'd say looking forward to the Astros in the World Series !!
Guess I had more to say than I thought! Now I've got to hit the hay. Gotta get my beauty rest tonight since I'll hopefully be up late tomorrow night chatting about the greatness that was Gum Drops.
