Just logged onto Directv to see if the 2011 Extra Innings schedule was up yet (wishful thinking) and my heart skipped a beat at the ad promising up to 80 games a week.
OPTIONAL PITCHERS & CATCHERS IN < 1 MONTH, PEOPLE! I CAN SEE THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THIS COLD DARK LONELY TUNNEL.

Congrats to Chris Colfer (Glee's Kurt) and Colin Firth (just saw The King's Speech, it was awesome) on their well-deserved Golden Globes ♥

Last weekend I attended my first ballet, and the weekend before that I reacquainted myself with the Constitution at the National Archives and some works of art at the National Gallery. All very good reminders that there are other, non-baseball, benefits to living near a major city.
Speaking of performances, I have tickets to this spring's Crime and Punishment, which I've been looking forward to for A YEAR, ever since Baltimore's Centrestage put it on their 2010-2011 season flyer. Sadly, I just found out it's not a strict Dostoevsky piece, but a "modern interpretation". Which, can I just say, SUCKS. Dostoevsky is the world's greatest author, and his material is timeless. I don't need some modern day crime thriller. BLERG, as Liz Lemon would say.
