Last night, the Tongs went to see spim's new theatrical poster at the New Players Theatre offVilliers Street. Somehow we got press ganged into watching the premiere of the show too. Into Thin Air is a musical almost as complex and contrived as the Bots' own dear The Cat Must Die, only it had evil aliens and time travel instead of evil cats and time travel. Wayne Sleep did an astonishing impression of a short Leonard Rossiter, and a pompous fat man kept us away from the free booze at half time. The music and choreography was excellent, although the director may have assumed audiences are more thrilled by Sleep twirling and then mugging to the audience than is actually the case.
