I just spent a very delightful couple of hours in Knightsbridge, helping Olivia squeeze her perfectly nimble and toned body into a wedding dress which seemed designed to be precisely half an inch smaller than said nimble body. I recall this from being bridesmaid to Bridget. Fortunately, Mo was also bridesmaid, so I just watched admiringly as she confidently strapped, laced and buttoned Bridget into place, while I kept well back in case I broke anything.

I didn't have a traditional wedding dress so getting into the thing was a much less complicated affair.

Are you going to be wearing a pink fru fru number?

I can understand why one has bridesmaids, know I know how complicated things like the dress can become. It's all worth it really - the dress looked very smart and snug.

Regarding my own costume, I told the dress fitter I'd be wearing a kilt. "Oh really? How lovely!" she exclaimed, before frowning "Seriously? Not seriously? No?"

Not seriously, no.
