So Mike found something that I had forgotten about:
an old journal of mine. It only has two entries in it. The first entry is a description of sleep paralysis. The second entry is a description of a fictional event I created that states that the Big Bang happened when two entities literally crashed into each other.
The images, sounds and feelings that one experiences during sleep paralysis varies from person to person. Some people see demons, some witness loaves of bread being cut in half, and some feel extreme weight on their chest--like someone is sitting on them. I don't experience any of that. Sleep paralysis, for me, is like I'm on a flashing tunnel rollercoaster. It's a little scary, because it sometimes makes me feel like I can't breathe while on the rollercoaster, and that I might suffocate. I've never seen the end of the tunnel, though, and I've never woken up gasping for air. I generally manually wake myself up from sleep paralysis, which is something that most people can't do--it's called sleep paralysis for a reason. I move my eyes, which is like trying to lift 1000lbs during the paralysis, and then I can move my head, and then I'm awake. After that I have to get out of bed for a few minutes. If I try to go back to sleep immediately, I'll fall right back into the paralysis.
Over the many years, sleep paralysis has become less scary and more annoying for me.
Anyway. Sleep paralysis, the advent of the Big Bang--these are things that I've written about in-depth, and I intend on writing more about them in the future.
Heroic Anub'arak 25 is dead. It's the hardest fight/role I've ever done, but that's not saying much; I have a very good grip of it now and could probably handle even more responsibilities. (In case you're wondering, I was playing an Elemental Shaman with a Demo Warlock in the raid, and I was interrupting one of the adds' Shadowstrike. The fight is a MASSIVE DPS and mana conservation race, so I had to juggle Water Shield, Thunderstorm, Magma Totem, Totem of Wrath, Fire Elemental Totem, upkeep my Illustration of the Dragon Soul, manually focus an add on every AOE phase, and interrupt that focus, which had two casts: one uninterruptable cast and one 1.3~ second cast, and constantly be ready to hit Healthstone/Gift of the Naaru in the event of a Penetrating Cold on me.) This is the third time in my guild's history where we've run out of content to raid. I don't mind--I'm decently satisfied with 3.2.
I beat Resident Evil 5. 8/10. Great gameplay, great music, good graphics (eventually), and an entertaining story. --The story was fucking bad, though, and so were the characters. But it's the inventory system that makes me hesitate to replay it. It's really, really bad; I'm amazed Capcom didn't listen to all the complaints about RE4's inventory system.
Oh my god, now I totally have a reason to use my Irving icon.
